Cejpová, Pavlína ; Kaštánková, Jana (referee) ; Františák, Luboš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of two apartment buildings and adjacent public spaces. This thesis develops the previous architectural-urbanistic study of the space near the city street Veveří. The houses have variaous apartements ( from units with 1 bedroom to units with 3 bedrooms). The houses form the boundary of the newly designed public space. Commercial units are designed on the ground floor as well as housing facilities. Although the houses are located on a corner, it cannot be said that these are completely typical corner houses. Brno lives on Veveří again
Burian, Vít ; Kaštánková, Jana (referee) ; Františák, Luboš (advisor)
The thesis addresses the issue of one of the main streets in Brno, Veveří street, in a general context. The subject of the solution is the development of a missing city block between Sokolská and Pekárenská streets, with the blind alley Závodní. The thesis is based on an urban design proposal from a previous project, which has been revised and slightly modified. The thesis then focuses on the design of two buildings within the addressed block and the adjacent public space at the intersection of Veveří and Pekárenská streets. While the first building represents an atypical corner house with an entrance to an underground parking and block supply, the second building represents a typical row house, whose principles can be applied to other objects within the street or block. The proposal also includes the solution of underground parking under the entire built-up block. The design considers and applies the use of spaces for commerce and services, offices, but primarily housing in the city center.
